DESCRIPTION:Guest speaker Barb from Windfall Farms (windfallflowers.com) talks about her fascination with seeds\, plant breeding\, and her zinnia breeding program and a flower seed farm.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBarb is a biologist with a Master’s degree in Zoology\, a nature lover\, avid gardener\, zinnia breeder\, and seed farmer. After years of studying whale songs in the Pacific Northwest\, she and her husband moved to a rural setting in interior BC. With a passion for gardening and a natural green thumb\, she expanded her annual\, perennial\, and vegetable gardens\, developing a fascination with saving and breeding seeds. This led her to create a zinnia breeding program and flower seed farm. \n\n\n\nBarb finds that breeding flowers and farming their seeds fulfills her scientific curiosity and provides a beautiful medium for artistic expression. It allows her to work outdoors in nature\, creating a world of beauty and wonder for her children.
